We strongly feel let down by the NHS, how come in this day & age England once a great nation of inovation cannot provide our son Harvey with a decent pair of working, comfortable prosthetic limbs. When we find a pair of prosthetic limbs suitable for Harvey our PCT Enfield finds the need to penalise us by way of threatening to withdraw Harvey's support services.

Harvey has had 8 pairs of NHS limbs none have been adaquate. We feel as parents it is our duty to provide our son Harvey with a working pair of prosthetic limbs, reguardless of the threats or concequences of our actions.

NHS threatens to stop two-year-old's treatment - because parents want to buy him new legs from the U.S.

However we have purchased a pair of excellent prosthetic limbs from Stepahead Prosthetics New York supplied & fitted in 2 days. Harvey is is now undergoing a intensive physiotherapy program that will enable him to walk with his new limbs.

Why can't the NHS provide a service of quality & comfort for our toddlers,  is it to much to ask to give our children dignity. There are many parents that suffer in silence accepting what they are given,  maybe even causing their child long term damage.

The cost of these 8 pairs of limbs given to Harvey far exceeds what we have paid privately in America. Who is watching to see that a child gets a fair & good limb service from the NHS, no one, tax payers money is being poured down a drain with no tap in sight to check the flow.

How can our PCT Trust Enfield be alllowed to run rough shot over our emotions like this, thank god we live in a democratic country which allows us to go to parliment to lobby our MP Andy Love.

Since going to parliment and lobbying our MP, our PCT Trust has done a about turn. The damage has already been done, We feel emotionally hurt & let down. How can we work with a institution that has to be persuaded by others above them that they are wrong in treating Harvey this way.

Please help Harvey to walk again. Make a difference to Harvey's life.
